Description
The Burgberg Seilbahn in Bad Harzburg is a historic cable car in operation since 1929, ferrying visitors in three minutes up the 483 m-high Großer Burgberg over a length of 481 m. Each gondola carries up to 18 people, offering panoramic views of Bad Harzburg and the Harz foothills. At the summit station, a small museum narrates the lift’s history, complementing access to castle ruins and networked hiking trails, making it a great starting point for exploration and nature experiences.
